Crouching Tiger, Lobbed Goal

It's about time, dude.

It's hard not to actually like the fella, he's quite useful around the pitch - if not for the lack of goals, he would have made cult figure status.

I'm glad he hit the back of the net now - hopefully, there's a lot more to come.

Having said that, we STILL need a goal-poacher. Paging Mr Owen, Mr Owen please report to Anfield....

F-I-N-A-L-L-Y. Hope he like it so much he'll make a habit of it. =)

Owen? Blah, Beckham No.2 is too bz chasing Spanish skirts now to be worried about Anfield. Bleh.

I cheered and laughed my head off at Crouch's first goal , and I couldn't help but think that yesterday was his happiest moment of his life as he flashed the ugliest grin EVER :D~~ .

Scorkes - So I suppose you don't like any of our other ex-players who have left Liverpool as well.

bex: Owen was a fav of mine while he was in LFC. When he left for RM last yr, I was a little upset.

When he left RM for Newcastle, I was like ... yeah, whatever.

For me, part of the passion of the game is the support of my fav players (and i don't support them cause they're cute or whatever k) and my fav team.

This is just a one off thing. Just cause I don't like George Bush doesn't mean I hate all Americans.

Owen was my first football hero too. And I was always defending him on football forums. I was crushed when he left too. But when you come to think of it, it's so silly to be so bitter over something like that. From everything my insider source told me, both Owen and the Liverpool board were at fault, and I actually think that Owen's departure was good for him coz he was getting too stale and jaded at Anfield.

Actually, I was even more upset when he left for Newcastle coz (partly also coz everyone from Owen's dog to Owen's dad said he would be coming back to Anfield...but Newcastle were being sibuk so no choice) that means you can actually see the direct effects of his goals and performances on Liverpool. Also, more chance for us to meet Newcastle. Grr, hope he doesn't spoil our Xmas. He could conveniently get injured for that particular fixture though. =p

Good on you Crouchy! \0/
Now if he'll start doing it for England...

Bex: Mickey Owen, his dad, his dog, Rafa all wanted him to return to Anfield. But they just didn't have the money...

All you guys whining about Owen leaving or Becks packing his bags its nothing compared to what an Arsenal fan must feel like.

2000 - Anelka leaves
2001 - Overmars and Petit leaves
2002 - Adams retires. Silvinho leaves (although Cole was the factor for his departure)
2005 - Edu and Vieira leaves
2006 - Bergkamp retires. Henry?...

Heartache... heartache...

Yeah, Crouch scored 1 goal. The 1st was given as own goal :P ...

If Henry were to leave, you can see mr mourinho waving a 30mil pounds cheque under Wenger's nose ... maybe not because he needed Henry, but just to piss Wenger off!!

Good...that he proved his worth as a striker....but more is needed for 7Million i guess....btw, we dont need Owen, but i think Owens need LFC more than anything....LFC back on track to glory....wonder where are toffees...!So whose the best in merseyside and in CL Competition.....hahahaha

Naz, I know. ;)

But um, Liv fans might be having an interesting summer next year if Newcastle end up doing badly and especially since they are really so broke they have no choice but to sell Owen even though they are really terrible without him. =p Watch Freddie Shepard deny that there is a get-out clause in Owen's contract!!

But even though we don't REALLY need Owen, I'd still like him to come back. =p

Oh and it was important for Crouch to score coz everyone was sl@gging him off and he doesn't deserve it!
